History BunnyA historian's perspective

About the editor

My name is Laura Ahrensbach. I hold a Master’s degree in History and specialise in medievalism and the uses of history. This means that I not only am interested in what happened in the past, but also in how the past has subsequently been interpreted, used, and reimagined, including how these processes have helped shape the society we live in today. This is particularly true of the Middle Ages, which have been interpreted and reinterpreted in countless and ever-changing forms over time.

As I see it, history only truly gains significance when it is shared. Communication therefore plays a central role in my work. I have taught as a guest lecturer at Aalborg University, given a public lecture, and published an academic article in a historical journal. Whatever the format, I strive to make history vivid and accessible without losing sight of its complexity. I hope that my writing here will offer you the same experience.

History Bunny was created as a space for historical exploration, academic curiosity, and engaging communication. It is a place where I can explore subjects and current debates that capture my interest, but my broader ambition is to create an online history magazine for anyone who shares even a little of my curiosity about the past.

I hope you will explore the magazine, immerse yourself in its stories, and perhaps discover new sides of the past along the way.
